Each day, elder abuse happens far more often than it’s talked about, and in many more ways than most people would imagine.
Maybe you’re somebody who’s already been the victim of physical, psychological, or financial abuse inflicted by a family member, professional, or even a stranger on the phone.
Maybe there’s an at-risk senior in your life who you know or love or are charged with caring for who has been the victim of abuse … or who you worry will be someday.
If any of these is true for you, we’re here to help.
The Elder Abuse Awareness Virtual Coalition was created in 2020 to serve the elder population by fostering public awareness about all forms of elder abuse through open discussion and the sharing of knowledge and resources, with the goal of bringing this kind of abuse to an end once and for all.
